Low carb diet is not always Sussen Sugary Cravings
The hardest thing is the next low-carb diet before the terrible craving for “sweet” flavor. It is rich in protein and low in carbohydrates. The biggest is that you can drink without guilt – satisfy the sweet tooth without destroying your diet.
Necessary ingredients for the Low Carb Iced Coffee making
You need:
* Shaker Bottle
* Ice
* 2 tablespoons cream (37%)
* ~ 2 cups of freshly brewed coffee
* 1 to 2 scoops vanilla or chocolate whey protein
* 2 packets of Stevia (it is a natural sweetener derived from plants, no carbs)
* Optional: Starbucks carb-free caramel syrup (I usually use, but it makes it taste like-FRAP)
“Cooking” Route
Step 1: Fill shaker with ice cubes, almost to the edge.
Step 2: Fill coffee in the shaker bottle, it’s an inch or two of the top, and then put 2 tablespoons cream
Step 3: Add 1 to 2 scoops of protein powder and two packets of stevia. Add caramel syrup, if you want.
Like a Starbucks FRAP
Nate is ice FRAP (1 scoop protein powder): 240 calories, 2 g carbohydrate, 25 g protein
Starbucks Regular (Grande) Caramel FRAP: 270 calories, 53 g carbohydrate (Eek!), 3g protein
Avoid regular Starbucks FRAP is
As you can see, this is a much better alternative to a regular Starbucks Frappuccino. You’re not a huge insulin spike, and you get a healthy dose of protein to feed your muscles.
For those of you who are unaware, is the “insulin spike” of which I speak, to win the cause of most people fat.
